The Mental Health Worker directly influences the safety and security of people who receive services by acting to provide a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment according to established policies and procedures. This action involves regularly communicating observations to the entire team of staff assisting the person. This action also involves requesting additional staff/clinical intervention for people who are receiving services. At times, the Mental Health Worker must act directly to help people who are receiving services to access a higher level of care to obtain needed stabilization
As a Mental Health Worker you will:
• Participate in the planning and evaluation of patient needs based on patient behaviors.
• Provide direct patient care services in accordance with the treatment plan and under the direction of the Program Manager.
• Assist in providing a safe and therapeutic environment according to established policies and procedures.
Requirements:
• HS Diploma/GED. Human Services related degree or past direct care or related experience strongly preferred.
• All new clinical staff will begin their extended clinical orientation/training immediately following your first day of employment.
• AHA CPR required before first day of employment
• Must be eligible for a Sheppard Pratt driver's license in order to transport patients as needed. If you have 3 or more points on your driving record you may not qualify for this license.
Pay for this position is $19.36 minimum - $28.70 maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.
