Substitute Physical Therapist JOB DESCRIPTION LINK At Special School District (SSD), physical therapists support students of all learning abilities by helping them build the skills needed to fully participate in school and daily routines. Through evaluations, individualized interventions, and collaboration with educators and families, you will help students improve mobility, strength, positioning, and functional independence while reducing barriers to learning and participation. In this role, you will develop therapy programs, recommend adaptive equipment, support staff with individualized techniques and strategies, and contribute to IEP planning and student goal development. Your expertise and care will help create safe, supportive environments where students can grow in confidence and access meaningful opportunities throughout their school experience. Substitute PTs work during the school day, with assignments varying in length and location across St. Louis County. This is an excellent opportunity for therapists seeking flexible, school-based work without the demands of a full-time caseload. Whether you're looking to stay active in the field, gain experience in a variety of school environments, or support inclusive practices on an as-needed basis, SSD welcomes your expertise. Education and Experience

• Bachelor's, master's, or clinical doctorate in physical therapy required

• Experience in pediatrics/school-based physical therapy preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Missouri Physical Therapy License required
