Substitute Music Therapist
JOB DESCRIPTION LINK As a Special School District (SSD) substitute music therapist, you provide students referred to your care with a comprehensive, individualized program tailored to support their well-being. Music therapists are valuable members of a student's special education team and work closely with professionals across various disciplines. Your expertise in developing and evaluating music therapy, along with your unwavering commitment to fostering an equitable, inclusive, and accessible learning environment, will contribute to the success of every student under your guidance. Music therapists work during school hours, are generously compensated, and receive benefits, including insurance, paid time off and holidays, access to staff health clinics, and more. They are assigned to students, not locations, and must travel regularly between buildings and districts within St. Louis County. Education and Experience
• Bachelor's in music therapy required
• Master's degree in music therapy preferred
• Experience in assessing students for music therapy services in accordance with IDEA, the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education preferred
• Experience working with children with disabilities preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• Certification through the Certification Board for Music Therapists, Inc. required
Salary
• $42/hour
