Substitute Deaf/Hard of Hearing Interpreter

JOB DESCRIPTION LINK As a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Interpreter with Special School District (SSD), you will play an essential role in ensuring students have full access to their education. By providing interpretation and transliteration throughout the school day, you help students stay connected to instruction, participate in classroom discussions, and engage with peers and staff. Your work makes a direct impact by removing communication barriers and helping students feel included and confident in their learning environment. You will work alongside teachers, staff, and families to support clear and effective communication across a variety of settings. By collaborating with teachers of the deaf, you help ensure that services are consistent and responsive to students' needs. Education and Experience

• Associate degree and/or a minimum of sixty (60) completed college credit hours required

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Current Missouri Interpreter Certification at the Basic, Advanced, or Master level required

• Current licensure through the State Committee of Interpreters required

Salary

• $42/hour
