Job SummaryYou will serve as a ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER in the OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY, HEALTH, AND ENVIRONMENT OFFICE - CODE 106 of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

QualificationsGS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer, managing environmental programs (e.g., Resources Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA), Hazardous Waste, Non-Hazardous Waste, Used Oil, Hazardous Substances/Spill Response, Industrial Wastewater, Clean Air, Hazardous Materials, etc.) by developing, implementing, and advising on program directives, standards or procedures to evaluate and ensure regulatory compliance. Major DutiesYou will advise management on how to include current and upcoming environmental requirements in their processes and procedures.You will assess, inspect, monitor, and audit shipyard facilities and operations to ensure they comply with Federal, State, Navy, and local environmental protection rules.You will review technical work documents and process instructions to ensure compliance with environmental policies and guidance.You will represent the command at meetings, both internally and externally.You will serve as the Program Manager for environmental subject matter areas.
