Job SummaryYou will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Code 900F Production Facilities & Plant Equipment of PSNS and IMF.
QualificationsFor GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing financial programs or projects; conducting financial analysis and providing recommendations to management; developing budget justifications, financial procedures, or program guidance; and serving as a technical expert on financial regulations, policies, or systems. For GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading and managing financial programs or projects: developing and implementing budget justifications, financial procedures, or program guidance to streamline operations and ensure compliance with federal regulations; and providing guidance and training to staff at all levels in financial regulations, policies, and systems. Major DutiesYou will formulate budgets and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities.You will present and defend budget estimates before authorities.You will review and evaluate budget requests, control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures.You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of programs and administrative operations.You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets using knowledge of policies, precedents, goals, objectives, regulations, and guidelines of a functional area.You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support programs and activities.
