About the role Within our Dutch Plan Approval department, our team of 40 employees are involved in researching and evaluating designs of ships and offshore installations against class rules and statutory regulations with regards to safety and the environment. In this we also act on behalf of a very large number of flag states. As a Plan Approval Surveyor Machinery, you will assess design drawings of ships, with a focus on piping systems, propulsion installations, MARPOL, SOLAS, Ballast Water Management and new fuels. The drawings you assess concern various types of ships: yachts, work vessels, tankers, dredging and inland vessels. Almost all types of ships belong to your working area! In addition to assessing these drawings, we help our customers with all kinds of different questions in the field of maritime regulations.
