The responsibilities of an IT Auditor There are a number of important duties for an IT Audit Specialist to perform, including: - Analysing both current and future IT infrastructures - Auditing internal data - Planning, developing and implementing solutions and strategies - Assessing risks and weaknesses within the systems and networks - Evaluating the design of the infrastructure, as well as the operational effectiveness - Planning internal audits and communicating information via reports - Overseeing the implementation of a solid and reliable IT infrastructure - Training colleagues and other end users as and when necessary - Conducting troubleshooting sessions to identify problems These are just some duties of what is a complex and responsible role. There are times when the IT Auditor is working solo and others when a more collaborative approach is necessary.
