About this role

The Director Digital Infrastructure leads the planning, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of NITB's core digital infrastructure, including data centre facilities, enterprise network infrastructure, connectivity services, and supporting technology environments. The position ensures the availability, reliability, and resilience of infrastructure services supporting NITB-managed digital platforms and e-governance initiatives. Qualification: Minimum sixteen (16) years of education with a Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree will be preferred. Professional certifications in relevant field will be an added advantage. Experience: Minimum 10-12 years of infrastructure/cloud experience, with at least 3-4 years in a senior role. Experience in managing government or enterprise-scale infrastructure environments, cloud platforms, network operations, disaster recovery, and digital infrastructure modernization initiatives will be preferred. Role-Specific Competencies: Data Center & Networks; Cloud Operations; Capacity Planning; Disaster Recovery. Duties and Responsibilities • Lead and oversee the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of NITB's core digital infrastructure, including data centers, enterprise networks, connectivity services, and supporting infrastructure environments. • Develop and implement infrastructure strategies, operational plans, and capacity planning initiatives to ensure reliable, scalable, and resilient infrastructure services. • Coordinate with respective functional heads to support deployment, integration, and operational readiness of digital platforms. • Ensure infrastructure operations are conducted in accordance with approved organizational standards, operational procedures, service management practices, and applicable cybersecurity requirements. • Monitor infrastructure performance, operational risks, service availability, and resource utilization, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives where required. • Prepare periodic infrastructure performance reports, operational metrics, and strategic recommendations for submission to the Director General. • Promote modernization of infrastructure operations through automation, virtualization, network optimization, and adoption of infrastructure management best practices.
