Salary: £110,000 - 130,000 per year
Requirements: Significant hands-on experience within the Lloyds and London insurance market, ideally in a broking house, Lloyds managing agency, MGA, or market-focused insurer or vendor.Deep working knowledge of the broking lifecycle, including submission, placement, quoting, binding, policy production, endorsements, premium processing, and settlement.Strong delegated authority expertise, including binders, coverholders, MGAs, bordereaux management, and data quality.Working knowledge of reinsurance, including treaty and facultative, and how it flows through market systems.Familiarity with market messaging and standards, including ACORD, EBOT, ECOT, MRC, and digital placement platforms such as PPL or Whitespace.Current awareness of Lloyds modernisation (Blueprint Two) and its practical implications for market participants.Proven business analysis and process design capability, including requirements definition, target process design, data mapping, and acceptance testing in complex change programmes.Understanding of the regulatory environment, including FCA conduct requirements, client money (CASS 5), Lloyds minimum standards, and GDPR.A reinsurance qualification, such as the relevant CII reinsurance unit.Excellent communication and workshop facilitation skills, with credibility in front of senior market practitioners.CII qualifications (Cert CII, Dip CII or ACII), or London market credentials such as LM1, LM2, LM3, or LLMIT, are desirable.Experience with broking and policy administration platforms and bordereaux tools is desirable.Exposure to applying AI or GenAI to market processes is desirable.Experience of M&A-driven change within broking or insurance is desirable.Business analysis or agile credentials such as BCS, IIBA, or Scrum are desirable. Responsibilities: Lead the business analysis function for the engagement and act as the authoritative voice on how the London insurance market works.Advise the Transformation Leader, architects, and client stakeholders on how market practice, regulation, and Lloyds modernisation should shape solution and process decisions.Provide an informed view on Blueprint Two and market modernisation and what it means for our platforms, data, and processes.Support the assessment of vendor platforms and market solutions for fit against real broking operations.Lead the analysis of current-state broking processes across the value chain, identifying inefficiency, rekeying, control gaps, and data quality issues.Design target processes and operating procedures for placement through to settlement, including delegated authority and bordereaux management.Define business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for platform and integration workstreams, and validate that delivered functionality works for the market.Own domain data definitions and mappings across policy, claims, finance, and market messaging flows, including ACORD standards and MRC.Ensure designs and processes respect FCA requirements, Lloyds requirements, GDPR, and operational resilience expectations.Support regulatory impact assessment of change and act as the domain reference point for compliance and risk stakeholders.Lead and grow the business analysis capability on the engagement by setting standards for requirements, process design, and documentation, and assuring the quality of BA outputs across workstreams.Mentor and coach analysts, building domain fluency across the team so market knowledge scales beyond one person.Plan and prioritise analysis effort across concurrent workstreams in step with the Transformation Leaders delivery plan.Build trusted relationships with client underwriting, broking operations, claims, and finance teams, facilitating workshops and walkthroughs.Support testing, adoption, and business readiness with domain scenarios, market test cases, and training input. We are hiring for a Head of Business Analysis in the Insurance Domain based in London and working onsite within a client-embedded strategic delivery partnership. You will work alongside our Transformation Leader and help shape how our engagement delivers against the realities of the Lloyds and London market. This is a senior domain-led role with leadership responsibility for the BA team, focused on market practice, regulatory alignment, stakeholder engagement, and delivery support across underwriting operations, claims, finance, and broking processes.
