Job summary
To assist Support Service Manager in providing an efficient Logistics service to the Trust, supporting the day to day management and distribution of goods within the Hospital

Main duties of the job
Daily delivery and collection of linen trolleys/ cages, meal trolleys, medical gases, delivery of Pharmacy fluids, exchange of HSDU trolleys.
Respond to request for ad-hoc jobs -moving / disposing furniture
Inform Team leader of any day to day issue or risk delivering service
Supporting other Teams when needed
Operate effectively as part of the team so as to promote efficiency, economy and harmonious environment
Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe, healthy and efficient manners in accordance with the Health and Safety at work act 1974 and local operational polices
Ensure that good housekeeping practice are maintained
Undertake necessary trainings and be able to demonstrate their competence in all task within the service.
This role will involve the movement of medium to heavy equipment/ goods

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
2 GCSE or equivalent Previous experience working in service provision
Desirable
Previous experience in healthcare environment

Health and Safety knowledge and understanding Ability to work effectively in a busy environment
Organisational Skills Essential
Can demonstrate initiative Can effectively prioritise & co-ordinate own work
