Join the Cardio-Respiratory Department at East Cheshire NHS Trust as a Student Clinical Physiologist - Respiratory and begin an exciting career in healthcare while earning a salary and studying towards a fully funded degree. Based primarily at Macclesfield District General Hospital, you will also rotate to our purpose-built Community Diagnostic Centre in Congleton, gaining experience across a range of clinical settings. Our department provides a comprehensive range of non-invasive cardiac and respiratory diagnostic investigations and works closely with cardiology and respiratory consultants. We also have strong links with the oncology team, supporting both local and national research projects.

This role offers a unique opportunity to combine practical, hands-on training with a fully funded, part-time BSc in Clinical Physiology at a local university over three years. For candidates who already hold a suitable degree, a fast-track training pathway may be available.

Main duties of the job

To be eligible, applicants must meet the university entry requirements. This includes 3 A Levels (A-C), including Biology or Human Biology with a pass in the practical assessment and a minimum of 120 UCAS tariff points. Alternatively, applicants may hold a BTEC Extended Diploma in Applied Science at DDM grade. Applicants must also have GCSEs at grade 4/C or above in English Language, Mathematics, and Science.

This is a full-time post, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. We encourage early applications, as the vacancy may close before the advertised closing date if a high volume of applications is received.
