Mgr / Department Head Desirable: Engineering Graduate – B.E/ B.Tech ii) Experience Minimum: 8 Maximum: 15 iii) Age Limit Minimum: 26 Maximum: 35 4 Job Role & Responsibilities *Primary Responsibilities:* Process designing, assembly readiness - robust process, high repeatability Lead the team to ensure on-time build of pre-pilot batch, pilot batch and SOP batches. Identify and close DFA points. End of Line readiness, proficiency in CAN communication. Q issues – QSR RFT defects elimination Trouble shooting of defects using problem solving tools like 7QC tools, Why-Why analysis etc Capacity generation as and when required in stringent time frame Assembly related ECR monitoring and implementation. - *Supplier Engagement*: Ensure sub-assembly process establishment at supplier ends for new sub-assemblies, with systems, displays of IPO, SOP, Q alerts, Pokayoke check sheets - *CBU / CKD / PLP process readiness* Define packing configuration for new models introduced in export market. Define container layout for CBU/CKD/PLP despatches. Coordinate with suppliers for new packing material development. - *Process Optimization*: Analyze and refine manufacturing processes to meet optimal cost and quality benchmarks, including process engineering, tooling procurement. Lead ECRS activities. - *Equipment Development*: Design new machinery and upgrade existing equipment to improve production capabilities, and meet new model requirements. - *Cost Management Initiatives*: Conceptualize and lead projects focused on reducing operational costs. *Additional Responsibilities:* - *Team Management/Documentation*: Supervise and mentor a team, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project execution. Ensure documentation readiness (TD, BOM, IPO, etc.) - *Collaboration*: Work with cross-functional teams to improve production processes, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. - *Project Management*: Proven track record of managing large projects (Material handling automation, MES, PokaYoke, etc. )from inception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery. 5 Competency Requirements Technical/ Functional: New product development knowledge APQP/DFA/DFM/DFMEA/PFMEA Ability to plan equipment and processes for New products Understanding of Machine balance / Operator balance Lean concepts like VSM / Strategic layout planning / MES / IOT and IOT and digitisation Engine/Vehicle/Machine shop /Paint shop /Press fabrication - in at least one of these must possess a high competency Problem solving approach 8D / Six Sigma / SPC / DOE etc Ability to plan Automation/Semi-automatic and have experience in handling material handling Good knowledge of Product or part where he has experience Engineering drawing study and interpretation Fixture/Gauge design and proving methodology Basic Vehicle manufacturing process & functional knowledge Process & facility planning for vehicle assembly, CKD, SKD etc. Basic automation and interlocks for automated cells Basic pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC systems – functioning and error proofing Knowledge of industry trends in automation and error proofing Basic knowledge of Paint & fabrication processes Material handling- trolley, bins, stand, karakuri Basic quality system; inward system, in process inspection, final inspection, RM checking, WPR, CMM, 3d Scanning, spread sheet. 20 Basic quality systems. Iso 9001, QS- certification.
