About this role
As a Fibre Planner, you'll play a key role in designing and delivering high-quality fibre networks that connect homes and businesses across the UK. Working as part of our Infrastructure Operations team, you'll create innovative, cost-effective network designs, support live deployments and work closely with engineers and stakeholders to overcome challenges and deliver exceptional results. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced planner who enjoys solving technical problems, takes pride in producing high-quality designs and wants to contribute to the continued growth of a fast-paced telecoms business. Produce high-level and low-level fibre and civils network designs. Create detailed construction packs, design documentation and network records. Design Passive Optical Network (PON) solutions that are practical, scalable and cost-effective. Forecast project CAPEX and OPEX requirements. Support engineers during network builds by providing technical planning assistance, rerouting solutions and rapid responses to on-site issues. Maintain accurate data within systems including Vetro and Openreach portals. Generate build reports and monitor project progress. Ensure designs meet quality, commercial and industry standards. Work collaboratively with planners, engineers and operational teams to successfully deliver projects. Contribute ideas that improve planning processes, methodologies and network design standards.
