What are we looking for?
The Sample Processing Clerk / Lab Technician supports daily laboratory operations by receiving, logging, and processing environmental samples, maintaining accurate records in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), preparing documentation, and assisting with laboratory workflow. This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency with computer systems and data entry, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Shift/Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9AM-5PM

What you’ll do:
Sample and quality control preparation for analysis
Receive and accurately log environmental samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
Maintain accurate electronic records and documentation to support sample traceability and quality standards
Preparation, review, and issuance of reports
Enter, review, and verify data within laboratory databases and Microsoft Office applications
Greet clients and assist with sample submissions at the laboratory
Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email or direct them to the appropriate technical staff
Assist with inventory management, laboratory supply ordering, and general laboratory organization
Support continuous improvement efforts by assisting with updates to laboratory procedures and work instructions

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities: Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
1 year+ lab experience (outside of academics)
Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn laboratory software and database systems
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
Experience entering and maintaining accurate data within electronic systems
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities
Ability to plan, organize, and complete a variety of projects within established standards, objectives, and time frame
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Experience with LIMS and sample processing
