Nexus, powered by St. Clair SRC, is a state-of-the-art esports and gaming facility that gives students a space to connect, compete, and explore gaming culture. We’re looking for tech-savvy and friendly student team members to join our crew and support day-to-day operations of the arena.
Position Overview:
The Nexus Student Tech Support position is ideal for gamers and IT enthusiasts. In this role, you’ll help maintain gaming systems, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, assist users, and support events or tournaments hosted in the arena.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist users with login support, PC use, and general questions
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and internet connectivity issues
• Maintain and update gaming PCs and peripherals (e.g., headsets, monitors, keyboards)
• Monitor arena activity and enforce rules and code of conduct
• Provide event support (e.g., tournaments, special gaming nights)
• Keep the arena clean, safe, and welcoming for all players
Qualifications:
• Must be a current student at St. Clair College
• Passionate about gaming, esports, and technology
• Friendly, approachable, and professional under pressure
• Able to work evenings, weekends, or around school schedule
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• IT or gaming experience is not required but definitely a plus!
