Job SummaryYou will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the STRATEGIC TECHNOLOGIES BRANCH (BL33500) of the Mission Operations and Integration Department, SE & ALRE Group of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE

QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serving as a Principal Investigator, S&T Portfolio Manager, or Technical Lead for advanced research initiatives (e.g., SBIR, ONR FNC, TIPS, and NISE) to advance state-of-the-art technologies for insertion into weapon and aviation systems; 2) Identifying technical gaps, developing and defending comprehensive S&T research proposals, and securing customer sponsorship to support flight planning and technology transition processes; 3) Evaluating engineering and scientific literature to assess technical trends and feasibility in areas such as systems engineering, data science, and advanced sensors; 4) Negotiating the challenges of transitioning laboratory-developed technologies into established Programs of Record to improve operational effectiveness and reduce lifecycle costs. Major DutiesYou will perform in a technical engineering advisory and assistance capacity as a technical expert.You will serve as lead engineer in many phases of major programs and provide detailed guidance to other professionals, technical, business, and administrative personnel.You will coordinate efforts of engineers, technicians and logisticians and program managers in support of program area.You will prepare and coordinate plans and proposals including long-range plans.
