Job SummaryYou will serve as a CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the AIRCRAFT SUPPORT CONTRACTS DIVISION, MAJOR WEAPNS SYSTEMS AIRCRAFT SUPPORT CONTRACTS DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

QualificationsIn addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (DA-05) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: (1) Demonstrating work experience with procurement planning and negotiations for large competitive service procurements, materials, or a major weapon system program and its components; (2) Requesting, analyzing, and evaluating cost and price data; (3) Negotiating and executing modifications, which may change contractual requirements of existing contracts; (4) Providing expert level acquisition advice for complex contracts; and (5) Interfacing with interested stakeholders to resolve problems and to ensure procurement goals are met. Major DutiesYou will be responsible for advanced procurement planning and negotiations for services, materials and major weapon systems programs and its components.You will serve as the principal contracting advisor to the various program managers providing expertise and guidance in conducting multi-million dollar contracts in support of major weapons systems.You will confer with contractors’ representatives when serious deficiencies are involved to resolve problems in connection with terms and provisions of contracts, termination agreements, negotiations, etc.You will be responsible for researching and analyzing procurement related special projects and data calls as prescribed by the Head, Aircraft Support Contracts Department.
