QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Providing technical ownership of SE projects, including designing, testing, fielding and/or in-service support of aviation support equipment.2. Managing the engineering change process, utilizing innovative techniques/solutions and providing guidance to resolve configuration management issues.3. Conducting Engineering Investigations and providing solutions to fleet support activities.4. Generating Engineering Change Proposals and drafting Technical Directives for release to fleet activities to address support equipment performance, obsolescence and safety issues. Major DutiesYou will coordinate technical planning and execution for multidisciplinary / cross-organizational team in addressing gaps in Support Equipment capability for the aircraft at all levels of maintenance.You will perform risk management analysis to eliminate or mitigate identified cost, schedule, performance, quality and system safety issues.You will create requirements documentation, test plans, procedures, scenarios, and system designs for fleet support.You will analyze procedure or processes to identify areas for improvement.You will identify mechanical systems and equipment performance problems to provide direction on corrective actions.You will coordinate with aircraft program office Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Support Equipment team leadership on identification and prioritization of funding requirements.You will maintain technical cognizance over engineering analyses, technical data packages, and other engineering work products to ensure accuracy.
