Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparationPrepare food order summaries for events , birthday partiesEstablish work schedules and proceduresMaintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastageTrain staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety proceduresEnsure that food and service meet quality control standardsMay participate in the selection of food service staff and assist in the development of policies, procedures and budgetsMay plan cafeteria menus and determine related food and labour costs.Interviewing candidates and training new staff.Creating work schedules and rotations.Ensuring food safety and compliance with regulations.Checking that diners are satisfied with their meal and service.Handling service issues and customer complaints.
