About this role

Job summary Deputy Ward Manager 37.5 hours Band 6 Permanent

We are looking for a highly experienced Registered General Nurse with an interest in Endocrinology and Diabetes, with strong clinical skills, who is enthusiastic, and motivated to provide visible leadership in support of the Ward Manager on C3.

The post holder will be and experienced band 5 nurse or band 6 sister who can demonstrate they have a range of transferable skills within the hospital setting.

We also welcome current Band 5's who wish to take on a new challenge on a busy Endocrine Ward caring for patients who are admitted for treatment and assessment under the medical directorate, within the field of Endocrinology.

The successful candidate will be supported to develop their leadership skills and will lead by example to deliver excellent high-quality care.

Supported by the Ward manager and Matron, you will develop your professional accountability, innovative thinking contributing to a clear vision for the in-patient nursing area. You will be responsible for the continuous management of the ward and contributing to high standards of care delivery.
