About this role

Job summary

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed ward clerk to join our fantastic team on M6. We are a 28 bedded ward which specialises in trauma and orthopaedic fractures and require surgery as well as caring for patients pre and post operatively .

The successful candidate should have exceptional organisational skills, interpersonal skills and be able to multitask as our pace can be fast but job satisfaction is high.

If successful this vacancy will require a Standard DBS check at a cost of £26.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary.

Person Specification

Education & Qualifications Essential

Good general education (include. Maths and English GCSE or equivalent) or equivalent experience ECDL or equivalent IT skills

Knowledge Essential

Microsoft Office/Windows

Desirable

Patient administration System Knowledge of NHS policies and procedures

Skills & Abilities Essential

Excellent communication skills at all levels Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload Proficient user of IT including Microsoft Ability to cope in a busy working environment under pressure

Experience Essential

Experience of working in an administrative environment Experience working 'face to face' with the general public as part of a team
