About this role
Astrana Health is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated full-time Bilingual Medical Scribe to support our clinical team at Southern California Heart Center and help deliver exceptional patient care. In this role, you’ll work closely with providers to document patient encounters, update diagnosis codes, manage prescriptions, and follow up on complex cases. When you’re not scribing, you’ll have the opportunity to build your clinical experience by assisting with patient intake, EKGs, and heart monitor placement, as well as gaining exposure to administrative functions such as insurance verification, medical records, and scheduling. Our Values: Put Patients First Empower Entrepreneurial Provider and Care Teams Operate with Integrity & Excellence Be Innovative Work As One Team Accurately document patient encounters and clinical information for providers Update and maintain accurate diagnosis codes and patient records Send, verify, and follow up on patient prescriptions as directed Monitor complex patient cases and communicate updates to providers as needed Assist with patient intake and other clinical support activities Perform EKGs and assist with heart monitor placement Support providers with additional clinical tasks when not actively scribing Assist with insurance verification, medical records preparation, and appointment scheduling Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements Provide professional and compassionate support to patients and the clinical team Perform other duties as assigned
