We are recruiting across a number of ward areas at all three of our sites: Doncaster Royal Infirmary andBassetlaw Hospital. Preference will be discussed at interview.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be responsible for providing the highest standard of individualised holistic patient care in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old at the time of application

Main duties of the job
Providing support with all aspects of patient care, including personal care, nutrition, mobility, comfort, & maintaining patients' dignity and independence
Working alongside registered nurses and the wider healthcare team to deliver high-quality care, completing delegated clinical tasks such as monitoring observations, supporting procedures, and recognising changes in patients' conditions
Supporting patients throughout their hospital journey, including admissions, discharges, transfers, investigations, and treatments, ensuring they feel safe, respected, & cared for
Building positive relationships with patients, families, & colleagues through compassionate communication & professionalism
Maintaining accurate patient records and supporting the smooth running of clinical areas through teamwork, organisation, & attention to detail
Taking responsibility for personal development by completing training, developing clinical skills, & working towards relevant qualifications
Promoting safety & continuous improvement by following Trust policies, maintaining confidentiality, reporting concerns, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives
Full-time/part-time roles are available with flexible working options where possible. Due to 24/7 inpatient services, rotational shifts are required, including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays. Enhanced pay is available for night and weekend shifts
A minimum 30 hours per week is required to meet course requirements.

Person Specification
Knowledge & Experience Desirable
Knowledge and understanding of current healthcare issues. Experience in the healthcare setting and / or providing personal care
Qualifications & Training Essential
Basic literacy and numeracy skills Willing to complete vocational qualification at level 2.
Desirable
Ability to undertake a range of clinical skills as required, including: Vital Signs, Blood Glucose Monitoring
Personal Attributes & Skills Essential
Be able to demonstrate good communication skills, ability to work within a team. Well-motivated, genuine desire to care for people. Good standard of written skills.
