Applications are invited for a fixed term Locally Employed Doctor (ST1-2 level) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
The department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is a dynamic and efficient team that delivers a very high level of patient care to women in Doncaster and surrounding areas. Our trust performs over 6000 deliveries (across two sites) and prides itself on its attention to risk management and team working. This post arises due to a gap in our registrar rotation and to support our busy clinical services.
The department is within one of the most dynamic hospitals in the region with excellent reputations in patient care and staff training/education. The directorate prides itself on its work environment, support to residentdoctors and team working set within new facilities. Doncaster is a place with superb leisure.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate is expected to be aware of the local policies and procedures and take note of the standing orders and financial instructions of the trust.
The post holder may be expected to perform additional duties on occasion to cover for emergencies and unforeseen circumstances and also be available for such irregular commitment outside normally rostered duties are essential for continuity of patient care and the management of the directorate services.

Qualifications Essential
MBchB/MBBS or equivalent Completion of Foundation 1/ 2 training or equivalent experience. OR` Completion of core level training in (specialty) Applicants must have full GMC registration and continue to hold a Licence to Practise
Experience and Achievements Essential
Must be able to demonstrate clinical experience and competence in Obstetrics and Gynaecology expected of a doctor at ST1/ST2 level
Desirable
Competence in procedural skills relevant to the level of the post Ability and willingness to learn from colleagues, senior and other sources.
Teaching and training Desirable
Experience of and enthusiasm for clinical teaching of medical students, junior colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
Audit and Research Desirable
