Job summary
The Systems and Learning Officer will play a key role in improving, monitoring, and maintaining high standards of data quality across patient safety systems, including Learning from Patient Safety Events, RADAR and Care Opinion. This role ensures data integrity for compliance, decision-making, internal and external reporting, and organisational learning.
Main duties of the job
Develop advanced skills and knowledge of the RADAR system modules in the Nursing and Facilities portfolio and devise training both in accessible media and direct training when required.
Working closely with Health Informatics. Contributing to the ongoing development of Radar to support Trust processes and priorities.
Support the Patient Safety, Carer & Team to proactively monitor data and quality, identifying areas of risk and implementing agreed preventative measures and remedial action.

Qualifications Essential
Degree or equivalent experience relevant to the post

Professional registration (NMC, HCPC, SWE etc)
Experience Essential
Knowledge of LFPSE and PSIRF Ability to review complex information and present it in an understandable way within reports with a high level of attention to detail Experience using electronic systems for patient safety or patient feedback e.g. RADAR/DATIX Understanding of data governance and confidentiality; Knowledge of patient safety processes and compliance requirements
Desirable
Experience working in patient safety or complaints within a healthcare setting.
Knowledge Essential
Understanding of compassionate engagement Understanding of a Just culture and being open (duty of candour)

Understanding of current national health service, local, regional and national policy understanding of regulation including parliamentary health service ombudsman (PHSO) & care quality commission (CQC)
