Job summary
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, compassionate and dedicated Clinical Psychologist to work as an integral part of the Primary Care Integrated Mental Health Hub (PCIMHH) delivering brief Psychological interventions to clients with a diverse range of mental health issues. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team of supportive, compassionate and value-driven Psychological Professions.
The post is a fixed term temporary post until the end March 2027. There is the possibility of this being extended.
Our service has a a strong and thriving community of clinical psychologists and psychological therapists within Rotherham primary and community mental health services. We are strongly invested in supporting staff development through further training opportunities and there is a strong focus on quality supervision provided by our Senior Clinical Psychologists.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a clinical psychologist with excellent clinical skills, and a passion for working with people with a broad range of mental health needs across the lifespan. They will be committed the principles of recovery, have effective interpersonal and time management skills, as well as being a responsive and motivated team player.
The postholder will work into the PCIMHH delivering brief Psychological interventions drawing on different therapeutic approaches. They will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures. Qualifications Essential
Post-graduate training (doctoral level equivalent) in clinical / counselling / forensic psychology (or its equivalent prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS. HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist Evidence of continuing professional development Registration with BPS or ACP
Experience Essential
Must have substantial experience of working as an applied psychologist within the designated service including a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course and a range of clinical severity across the full range of care settings. Must have substantial experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care as a care co-ordinator and leader of a multidisciplinary team Must have substantial experience of liaison and joint working with statutory, voluntary and private sector agencies Experience of Research and development

Experience of Project Management Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision. Experience of the application of clinical psychology in different cultural contexts. Communicate highly complex, highly sensitive and contentious information effectively, to a wide range of people Adapt creatively the evidence base for interventions in mental health for clients with communication difficulties / learning disabilities Articulate the value added by applied psychology services within the context of multidisciplinary mental health and learning disability healthcare provision. Undertake complex multiagency working and liaise with multiple systems Utilise psychometric tests competently Provide effective teaching, training and clinical supervision for the multidisciplinary team. Utilise appropriate clinical governance mechanisms within own work. Demonstrate effective keyboard skills and use multimedia materials for presentations in professional, academic and public settings. Use approved breakaway techniques
