Waste Connections of Wyoming is seeking a safety-focused CDL Rear Load Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for servicing a combination of residential and commercial customers while operating a rear load garbage truck. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and operational excellence. Position Details
• Position: CDL Rear Load Driver • Pay: Starting at $22.00 per hour • Schedule: Monday through Friday • Start Time: 5:00 AM • Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week with overtime as needed • Route Type: Residential and Commercial Collection Essential Job Functions
• Safely operate a rear load garbage truck on assigned collection routes. • Service residential and commercial customers in accordance with scheduled route assignments. • Read and follow route sheets, work orders, and dispatch instructions. • Operate hydraulic controls to collect and unload waste materials. • Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns. • Maintain accurate records and comply with all DOT, company, and safety regulations. • Transport collected materials to designated disposal or transfer facilities. • Provide professional, courteous service to customers and the public. • Perform additional duties as assigned. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
• Regular lifting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering of containers weighing 50 pounds or more. • Ability to repeatedly enter and exit the vehicle throughout the workday. • Work performed primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions. • Exposure to noise, moving mechanical equipment, vibration, dust, and other environmental conditions associated with waste collection operations. • Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods. Qualifications
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement required. • Must be at least 21 years of age. • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. • Knowledge of vehicle inspection procedures and basic truck maintenance. • Strong safety mindset and commitment to following company policies and procedures. • Previous waste industry experience is preferred but not required.
