The Opportunity
As a Tax Senior, you'll take ownership of a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring work is delivered accurately, efficiently and to the highest professional standards. You'll liaise with clients, HMRC and internal teams, applying your technical knowledge to support a range of tax matters while helping to identify opportunities for further advice and planning. What You'll Be Doing
As our Tax Senior, you'll be responsible for:
Assuming responsibility for a portfolio of personal tax self-assessment clients and controlling the management and completion of work arising from these clientsOrganising workload to ensure an efficient and timely service is provided to clientsLiaise with clients, HMRC and internal colleagues to resolve queries and progress work efficientlyIdentify potential advisory opportunities or technical issues, including capital gains tax, residence, trusts, property, pension contributions and loss relief pointsUse HMRC guidance, legislation and internal quality procedures to ensure work is accurate, complete and delivered on time
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a tax position ATT/CTA qualified or working towards CTA Experience preparing UK personal tax returns and associated tax computations Good working knowledge of UK personal tax compliance, including income tax, capital gains tax and common tax return disclosuresStrong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work within deadlinesConfident written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain tax matters clearly to clients and colleaguesGood Microsoft Excel skills and comfortable working with financial information and supporting schedulesOrganised, proactive and able to prioritise work during peak Self-Assessment periodsA commitment to delivering excellent client service Most importantly, we're looking for someone who shares our values, enjoys working collaboratively and is passionate about delivering great results.
