About this role
We are a growing, ambitious accountancy practice seeking to appoint a Corporate Finance Manager to develop our corporate finance offering.
This is a high-impact role in a lean business, working directly with the partners to:
Build a scalable corporate finance functionDeliver high-quality advisory work across the full deal lifecycleDrive fee growth and originate new opportunities
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s future, with a clear route to leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deal Execution & Technical Delivery
Manage corporate finance engagements across:
Business disposals (trade sales, exit planning)Acquisitions and buy-side advisoryManagement buyouts (MBOs) and Employee Ownership Trusts (EOTs)Financial due diligence (vendor and buy-side)Business valuations and strategic option reviewsDebt and equity fundraising
Work will typically involve:
Financial modelling and valuation analysisPreparation of Information Memoranda and reportsManaging data rooms and due diligence processesLiaising with clients, banks, lawyers, and other stakeholdersIdentifying key risks, value drivers, and deal adjustments
2. Client Management
Act as day-to-day lead adviser on transactionsBuild strong relationships with owner-managed businessesTranslate technical analysis into clear commercial adviceManage client expectations, timelines, and deliverables
3. Business Development & Growth
Drive origination of new corporate finance work from: Existing client baseProfessional introducers (banks, lawyers, IFAs) Lead proposals, pitches, and networking activityIdentify cross-selling opportunities with accounts, tax, and audit teams
4. Team Leadership & Development
Manage and mentor junior staff (analysts/managers)Review work outputs and maintain quality standardsProvide technical coaching on: Deal structuringFinancial analysisReport writing Support recruitment as the team grows
5. Strategic Contribution
Work with partners to: Define the corporate finance strategyDevelop service propositions and pricingImprove processes and delivery frameworks Contribute to wider firm growth and positioning
Person Specification
Essential Experience
Proven experience in corporate finance or transaction servicesStrong track record across M&A / advisory engagementsExperience managing multiple projects and delivering to deadlinesDemonstrable client-facing and stakeholder management experience
Technical Skills
Advanced financial modelling and valuation capabilityStrong understanding of: Deal structuresFinancial due diligenceWorking capital / net debt analysis High-quality report writing and commercial insight
Qualifications
ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) – essentialAdditional corporate finance qualifications advantageous
