Job Summary: Under general supervision, a teacher will plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in an elementary or secondary learning environment that guides, and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic goals by creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning, and appropriate to the maturity and interest of students.
Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Minimum Qualifications Desirable Qualification • Bachelor's Degree in education or in a related area that will qualify for licensure as a teacher by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction • Master's in education or related area.
