Main duties of the job
Overview of Role:
To run ECG clinics independently in the Greater Manchester Area
Full training will be provided to ensure competency and will be assessed by the Cardiac Physiologist. The post-holder will accept the responsibility for doing a quality job, aspire to achieve, share a corporate pride in achievements and strive to act as an ambassador for good quality

Job description Job responsibilities
The Diagnostic Assistant role will be to undertake a range of duties which involve direct patient care.
These will include:
Attaching Ambulatory ECG/BP Equipment to the patient
Remove and download the Ambulatory Equipment
Prepare the monitors for the next Diagnostic Clinic
Running 12 Lead ECG clinics independently if required
Discuss issues with Patients that are relevant to their Diagnostic Investigations
Liaise with the Cardiac Physiologist to highlight any concerns regarding the patient
Maintain accurate documents with regards to the patient record
Maintain Stock levels
Give advice and support to patients and carers within duties appropriate to grade and level of competence
Carry out, after appropriate training, identified clerical tasks within diagnostics such as: update the clinical system with necessary details, maintain a manual register of patients in the event of any break down in computer service, Notifying other departments of patient arrivals when necessary
Order and put away stationery and stock
Travel to other clinic locations when required
Ensure Mandatory Training is up to date
