Job summary

ARE YOU A MOTIVATED INDIVIDUAL WHO WANTS TO PARTICIPATE AND CONTRIBUTE TO ACHIEVING EXCELLENT STANDARDS OF CARE?

IF SO THE NEW ELECTIVE ORTHOPAEDIC HUB IS FOR YOU.

This is an exciting time to join our Orthopaedic team as a ward clerk, as we relocate to the new purpose built elective Hub. This consists of 2 theatres, and a 28 bedded in patient ward.

The in-patient ward was developed by teams including clinicians and involved patients groups, staff members and infection and prevention control. National and international research and best practice were also considered in its design. This has led to the development of an innovative environment using technology, with increased privacy and dignity for our patients due to the high number of side rooms.

Within the elective Hub we will be caring for a variety of elective joint procedures, including total hip and knee replacements as well as orthopaedic day case procedures.

The elective orthopaedic department has a reputation as a high performing ward, having received " Outstanding" ward accreditation, and a previous Paget ward of the year, where patients are first and foremost at the centre of all our care delivery.

Successful applicants will ideally have previous IT and administration experience.
