Job summary
We are seeking a highly organised, proactive and professional Executive Assistant to provide high-quality support to members of our Executive Team at The James Paget University Hospital. This is a pivotal role, enabling senior leaders to operate effectively within a complex, busy and fast-paced healthcare environment.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Executive Assistant with excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building skills. You will be confident managing competing priorities, working with discretion and using your initiative to provide responsive, high-quality support. This is a rewarding opportunity to work at the heart of the organisation, supporting senior leaders and contributing to the delivery of high-quality healthcare for our patients and communities.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide an efficient, professional and fully confidential administrative and secretarial support service. You will be confident in all aspects of meeting management, including scheduling meetings, preparing rooms and documentation, taking accurate minutes and clearly identifying action points. You will also have strong diary management skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
The role involves the regular use of digital tools, so confidence using Microsoft 365 applications would be an advantage.
As the first point of contact for Executive Directors, this is a fast-paced and high-profile role requiring excellent organisational, secretarial and communication skills. You will need strong attention to detail, sound judgement, the ability to work independently and a clear understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
