Requirements: We are looking for a seasoned network professional with a strong track record across enterprise environments.We need deep practical knowledge of routing, switching, firewall and wireless technologies.We want someone comfortable with monitoring tools and well-versed in network security fundamentals.We require enough systems administration experience to support servers, virtualisation and backups when needed.We are looking for a proactive person who identifies improvements and speaks up.We value strong troubleshooting skills, tidy documentation habits and a collaborative approach.We need strong communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities: We plan and deliver robust, secure network solutions across LAN, WAN, wireless and VPN.We own the configuration and upkeep of firewalls, switches, routers and access points across the estate.We monitor uptime, bandwidth and latency using tools such as SolarWinds or PRTG and resolve bottlenecks proactively.We serve as the senior escalation point for network incidents, including those affecting remote locations.We harden the environment through VLAN design, firewall rule management, intrusion detection and patching.We produce and maintain network diagrams, IP records and configuration documentation.We support the wider infrastructure when required, including Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, VMware or Hyper-V, and backup and recovery routines.We contribute networking expertise to projects, upgrades and migrations, and deliver third-line support to the business.
