<p><img alt="" src="https://rmkcdn.successfactors.com/ef421b43/90098d9e-cad4-40cc-a2f0-5.jpg" style="height:80.0px;width:160.0px"></p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <div> <h1>Operator I – Packaging</h1> <p><strong>ANSA McAL Chemicals Ltd. | Point Lisas, Trinidad</strong></p> <p>ANSA McAL Chemicals Ltd. is seeking a safety-conscious, results-oriented professional to join our Operations team as an <strong>Operator I – Packaging</strong>.</p> <p>This role is responsible for operating packaging plant equipment in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner while maintaining quality standards, maximizing production output, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.</p> <h2>Key Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li>Operate and monitor assigned packaging equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently achieved. </li> <li>Perform equipment changeovers efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain uninterrupted production operations. </li> <li>Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and accountability by ensuring tooling, change parts, and equipment spares are properly monitored, maintained, and reported. </li> <li>Identify equipment issues and collaborate with supervisors and maintenance personnel to support timely troubleshooting and corrective action. </li> <li>Adapt quickly to changing operational priorities and support the achievement of production objectives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. </li> <li>Work collaboratively with colleagues across Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Logistics to achieve shared business goals and foster a positive team environment. </li> <li>Contribute ideas and recommendations that improve safety, efficiency, reliability, and overall plant performance. </li> <li>Complete accurate production records, shift reports, and handovers to ensure effective communication and operational continuity between shifts. </li> <li>Uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance in all aspects of work. </li> </ul> <h2>Qualifications & Experience</h2> <ul> <li>Three (3) CXC/O'Level subjects, including Mathematics and English. </li> <li>Minimum one (1) year of relevant manufacturing, production, or operations experience. </li> <li>Computer literate. </li> <li>A valid Forklift Driver's Licence will be considered an asset. </li> </ul> <h2>Ideal Candidate</h2> <p>The successful candidate will demonstrate:</p> <ul> <li>A strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.</li> <li>Sound troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.</li> <li>Effective communication and teamwork skills.</li> <li>Personal accountability, initiative, and a continuous improvement mindset. </li> </ul> <h2>Why Join ANSA McAL Chemicals?</h2> <p>At ANSA McAL Chemicals, you'll have the opportunity to build a rewarding career with one of the Caribbean's leading manufacturing organisations, working alongside a team committed to excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth.</p> </div>
