Main duties of the job
Our 12 bedded mixed Intensive Care Unit/High Dependency Unit has a commitment to high standards of care and continued learning and can offer the successful candidates a new challenge with tremendous job satisfaction in a friendly and well supported environment. There is an excellent induction package and training in a modern and upgraded intensive care/high dependency unit supported by a clinical information management system. The unit also operates a 12 hour shift system.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
RGN with current/active NMC PIN number Evidence of recent & relevant academic and clinical development in last 12 months
Desirable
ILS and PILS certifications Previous ICU and/or HDU experience Critical Care Course Qualification
Experience and Knowledge Essential
Recent acute hospital experience in the last 12 months
Desirable
Previous ICU and/or HDU experience within the last 4 years
Skills and Abilities Essential
Ability to work confidently and remain calm under stress Good inter-personal skills which engender effective relationships with staff Accurate presentation and attention to detail Demonstrate basic understanding of ICU/HDU environment and patient group
