The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse is specially trained in hemodynamic monitoring and therapeutic equipment necessary to provide specialized medical and/or surgical nursing care to acute or complex, post procedure/operative patients. Assesses and documents patient conditions, recognizes clinical changes, reviews test results, and supports evidence‑based plans of care, pain management, and discharge planning. Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate high‑quality care, delegate tasks, and advocate for patient needs. Demonstrates compassionate, culturally sensitive communication while ensuring compliance with nursing standards, infection control, HIPAA, and patient safety. Qualifications include active CA RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, English proficiency, schedule flexibility, adaptability in a fast‑paced environment, and 1 year of critical care/PACU experience or completion of a critical care training course.
