Requirements: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in qualitative methods.Ability to work quickly and pragmatically.Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.Excellent written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to convey complex information to a range of audiences.Good stakeholder engagement and meeting support skills.Familiarity with AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) and their application to qualitative data analysis.Ability to critically evaluate and quality assure AI-generated themes and insights, recognising limitations, bias, and potential inaccuracies.Confident use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Experience producing concise briefings, summaries, or management information.Ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality, secure handling of resident data, and compliance with agreed data protection processes. Responsibilities: Review and analyse resident survey responses, engagement outputs, data, and documentation provided by the project team.Contribute to the test-and-learn phase of a new approach to embed community insight into strategic decision making.Identify key themes, issues, risks, gaps, and opportunities.Produce clear summaries, briefings, narrative slide content, trackers, or working notes as required.Support preparation for meetings, workshops, or stakeholder discussions.Maintain action logs, issue logs, or other project records where needed.Work with the project team to refine outputs based on feedback. We are recruiting a Qualitative Analyst on behalf of Luton Borough Council for a discrete piece of work over 25 days. This role will provide analytical, research, and coordination support to help create resident insight analysis using existing outputs and established AI routines to develop thematic insight. We are part of Connect2Luton, a recruitment managed service created by Luton Borough Council and Kent County Council for contingent temporary agency, contract, and interim roles.
