Salary: £40,000 - 40,000 per year
Requirements: We require eligibility to work in the UK.We are looking for experience as a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer or System Administrator.Education sector experience is advantageous.We require administration experience with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.We require experience with MDM solutions, including Intune, iPad, and macOS MDM.We require experience with Entra ID.We require Windows 11/10 administration and support experience.We require support experience for end-user devices including Windows PCs, laptops, desktops, iPads, and tablets.We require hardware and software support experience, including installation, configuration, and deployment.We require basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, VLAN, VPN, SSL, and IPSec.Exposure to Cisco and Ubiquiti wireless infrastructure is advantageous.Experience with audio/visual devices such as projectors and interactive displays is desirable.Experience with security tools and policies such as firewalls, antivirus, web filters, and security policies is desirable.Experience supporting VoIP communications and telephony is desirable.We require excellent communication skills.We require good organisational skills and a proactive approach. Responsibilities: We will support approximately 850 pupils and over 100 staff across two independent schools.We will provide 2nd line IT support across a mixed environment of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Windows, MacBooks, and iPads.We will support end-user devices, including PCs, laptops, desktops, iPads, and tablets.We will handle hardware and software installation, configuration, and deployment.We will administer Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Entra ID, and MDM platforms.We will support Windows 11 and Windows 10 environments.We will assist with basic networking issues and escalate more complex networking matters to the external MSP.We will provide support for wireless infrastructure and other onsite IT systems as needed.We will work onsite during term time across two school locations, with flexibility during school holidays. We are offering a permanent IT Support Engineer - 2nd Line role with a salary of £40k plus benefits. The position is shared between two well-established independent schools, based onsite three days a week in Blackheath, London and two days a week in Hampstead, London, with travel expenses to Hampstead covered. We support around 850 pupils and over 100 staff using Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Windows, MacBooks, and iPads.
