Salary: £65,000 - 75,000 per year

Responsibilities: We will expect you to serve as the technical lead, delivering end-to-end security solutions and maintaining the network and security lifecycle.We will expect you to safeguard networks and systems against cyber-attacks, hacking attempts, intrusion, infiltration, and natural disasters.We will expect you to focus on network maintenance and security prevention, with occasional support for the support and infrastructure teams.We will expect you to develop and maintain the incident response plan, Cyber Essentials, ISO27001 alignment, and the NIST framework.We will expect you to work with the infrastructure team on disaster recovery and business continuity plans.We will expect you to design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans for network and security capacity.We will expect you to provide BAU infrastructure support and assist the support desk when requested.We will expect you to manage infrastructure administration and project work using existing tools.We will expect you to monitor logs from SIEM and Sophos MTR and perform threat hunts during security incidents.We will expect you to identify, monitor, and define the security requirements of all systems.We will expect you to maintain high patching status across all systems.We will expect you to configure, maintain, and implement intrusion detection systems, firewalls, VPNs, web protocols, and email security.We will expect you to perform continuous penetration testing and remediate vulnerabilities.We will expect you to create and update Jira tickets regularly.We will expect you to maintain system uptime and availability as close to 99.99% as possible.We will expect you to configure and install security infrastructure devices.We will expect you to investigate intrusion and hacking incidents, collect incident responses, and carry out forensic investigations.We will expect you to stay current on emerging technologies, security developments, and cyber news.We will expect you to plan disaster recovery and contingency measures for security breaches.We will expect you to respond quickly to security incidents, apply mitigation, and implement workarounds to protect systems after a breach.We will expect you to monitor for attacks, intrusions, and unusual or unauthorised activity.We will expect you to define and maintain security policies. We are recruiting for a Cyber Security Specialist to work four days onsite from our clients London office each week. In this role, we will rely on you to provide technical leadership across network and security operations, with a focus on prevention, incident response, resilience, and infrastructure support. You will work closely with our support and infrastructure teams, help maintain strong security controls, and contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
