We are hiring a hands-on Head of Platform Engineering to lead the evolution of a cloud-native platform powering highly secure, production-grade environments in a scaling technology business operating within regulated markets. This is a senior leadership role with direct ownership of platform delivery, reliability, automation, security, operational readiness, and engineering standards across a modern AWS and Kubernetes estate. The role is based in Cambridge, UK, with an expectation to work on-site 2 to 3 days per week within a 1 hour 30 minute commute. We offer a salary of £115,000 to £130,000 plus bonus, and there is no sponsorship option available. Our tech environment includes AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, Terraform, GitOps, Argo CD, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, observability, and cloud security. We are looking for someone who enjoys building mature engineering capability within a fast-moving, commercially scaling environment.
