Job Title: Buyer About the Role Our client is looking for a Buyer to join their team in Knoxville, TN. This position is a great fit for someone with 1–3 years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory, or materials planning experience and hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP.The Buyer will manage purchase orders, maintain inventory data, work with suppliers, and support daily supply chain operations. This role works closely with production, inventory, and supply chain teams to ensure materials are available when needed.Responsibilities
• Create and manage purchase orders in NetSuite. • Track orders and work with suppliers to resolve delays or shortages. • Maintain accurate inventory, vendor, pricing, and item data. • Partner with production and supply chain teams to support demand and inventory needs. • Monitor inventory levels and help prevent stock shortages or excess inventory. • Review supplier performance and delivery schedules. • Support process improvements and ERP data updates. • Use Excel to track data, analyze trends, and create reports. • Assist with domestic and international purchasing activities. Qualifications
• 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory management, or similar fields. • Experience using NetSuite ERP for purchasing and inventory management. • Knowledge of purchasing processes, inventory control, and supplier management. • Strong Excel skills. • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environments. • Associate degree or higher. • Experience with SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems. • ERP implementation or migration experience. • Experience managing large numbers of SKUs/part numbers. • International purchasing experience. Work Environment This is a collaborative, manufacturing-focused role that works closely with supply chain, inventory, and production teams. Strong attention to detail, organization, and a proactive approach are key to success. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Knoxville, TN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.45 - $31.25/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
