Role and Responsibilities General Ensure the security of the centre, its contents and the custody of the centre’s keys. In particular checking doors, store cupboards and fire exits in accordance with the club’s current requirements. Open the centre at designated times and/or when required for use by staff and members, and secure premises after use. Ensure that front door is locked when centre staff is not in. Maintain heating and lighting requirements of the premises. Setting up and clearing away furniture and equipment when required. Carry out regular Health & Safety checks in accordance with Organisation procedures. Report any hazards to the chairperson/committee. As appropriate deal with enquiries from centre staff, centre members and members of the public and refer them to administration where necessary, ensuring a high degree of customer care at all times. Maintenance/Cleaning Ensure that Shower and toilet areas are kept clean on a regular basis. Arrange to clear blockages from sinks, toilets, drains, etc. and clean up spillages as required. Ensure that gullies, drains etc. are kept free from debris and that grounds are litter free. Dispose of waste materials in a safe, hygenic manner, ensuring that it is available for collection as required. Carry out minor repairs and maintenance of décor. Inform club administration of toiletries, cleaning materials and equipment levels for re-ordering, and accept deliveries. Liaising with centre staff to carry out procedures for emergencies including repairs and arranging for contractors to carry out work. Carry out regular cleaning duties for rest of interior of building including, Gym, canteen board room and other areas used by staff and members.. CE Scheme Skills
