<div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H4 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>-</b></H4> </div><div></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H4 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>-</b></H4> </div><div><p><strong><u>POSITION: SENIOR CHEMIST / LABORATORY SUPERVISOR</u></strong></p> <p><strong><u>Location</u></strong>: Cabinda, Angola</p> <p><strong><u>Objectives</u></strong>:</p> <p>- Execute analytical programs in Petroleum testing laboratory, using high-level technical expertise, in line with international and industry-recognized standards & practices. </p> <p>-Make sure all testing activities are done competently, accurately, timely, impartially, and safely, delivering valid results that meet client, regulatory, and accreditation requirements. </p> <p>-The role helps maintain and continuously improve technical skills, data integrity, and the lab's quality assurance processes.</p> <p><strong><u>Responsibilities</u></strong><strong>:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Conduct laboratory tests to establish quality on petroleum products such as: Crude Oil, Heavy Fuel Oil, Diesel, Jet Fuel, Kerosene and Water following international standards (ASTM, ISO, IP, etc.) and local specifications (Angola).</li> <li>Record and interpret test results and produce test reports.</li> <li>Participate in audits (internal, client, ISO 17025 accreditation) as a technical expert.</li> <li>Act as deputy to lab manager; coordinate shifts and work groups and validation of test results.</li> <li>Contribute to the maintenance of ISO 17025 accreditation process.</li> <li>Calibrate laboratory instruments and oversee their calibration according to appropriate standards and internal procedures.</li> <li>Implement SQC program to comply with the ISO 17025 requirement</li> <li>Provide timely advice and reports to the refinery operations department on all analytical matters.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations (internal and external), including HSE requirements, company policies and procedures as appropriate.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent in chemistry or a relevant scientific discipline</li> <li>7-10 years of relevant experience in a petroleum refinery or petrochemical testing laboratory</li> <li>Experience in ISO 17025 accredited laboratory</li> <li>Knowledge in petroleum refining processes</li> <li>Knowledge of ASTM and IP test methods for petroleum products especially for Heavy Fuel Oil, Diesel & Jet A1 is mandatory</li> <li>Full knowledge and experience with ISO 8217, DEF STAN 91-091, Naphtha Dow specifications test methods is mandatory</li> <li>Must be strong in advanced techniques (specifically with petroleum products) : AAS, ICP-OES, HPLC, GC, Ion chromatography, Lubricity, thermal oxidation, JFTOT.</li> <li>Experience with statistical evaluation of analytical results and other quality control practices in the lab</li> <li>Experience with interlaboratory cross check programs</li> <li>Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and computer tools</li> <li>Experience in 3rd party inspection company is plus but not mandatory</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Language Proficiency</u></strong><u>:</u></p> <p>English: Good</p> <p>Portuguese : Good</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H4 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>-</b></H4> </div><div></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H4 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>-</b></H4> </div><div></div></div></div>
