Job summary What you'll be doing

Deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred nursing care within the ward. Lead clinical shifts and coordinate the day-to-day delivery of patient care. Support, supervise, and develop junior staff and student nurses. Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve positive patient outcomes. Assess and manage clinical risks, ensuring compliance with policies and best practice. Act as a Named Nurse and deputise for the Ward Manager when required. Registered Nurse (RMN/RNLD) with a valid NMC registration. Minimum 1824 months' post-registration clinical experience. Experience working within a mental health and/or learning disability setting. Previous experience leading shifts and supervising a nursing team. Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills. Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Good IT and documentation skills.The following experience would be beneficial
Previous experience in a Deputy Ward Manager, Charge Nurse or Senior Staff Nurse role. Trained Practice Assessor/Supervisor. Experience providing Clinical Supervision. Leadership or management training/qualification. Experience supporting recruitment, appraisals and staff development. Knowledge of quality improvement, governance and regulatory standards.

Qualification Essential
