*Summary*
Hockley Valley Resort is seeking a dedicated and experienced *Room Attendant* to join our housekeeping team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that guest rooms are clean, well-maintained, and fully stocked to meet the resort?s high standards. This role requires a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with guests, as well as a strong attention to detail and adherence to housekeeping policies and procedures.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Greet guests and respond promptly to their questions and concerns * Change bed linens and make beds to standard * Replace used towels and restock bathroom amenities (e.g., shampoo, soap) * Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors and carpets * Dust and polish furniture and fixtures * Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste appropriately * Restock minibar beverages and snacks * Clean and maintain public areas such as hallways and corridors * Report maintenance and repair issues to the appropriate department * Update room status on assignment sheets accurately * Return and organize cleaning carts at the end of each shift
*Requirements*
* High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) * Previous housekeeping and/or guest service experience an asset * Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and products * Ability to follow instructions and work independently * Strong time-management skills and attention to detail * Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays * Physical stamina and mobility to perform required tasks * Professional, honest, and polite demeanor
*Working Conditions*
* Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods * Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs * Frequent bending, crouching, and lifting involved
Pay: $18.22 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate: * Mono, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
