About this role

Job summary Medical Receptionist

Hours:Full-time, Monday to Friday,7.5-hour shifts between 08:00 and 18:30, on a rota covering our opening hours.

Location: The Welby Practice (Bottesford, Harlaxton and Waltham on the Wolds)

The Welby Practice is seeking an enthusiastic, organised and patient-focused Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you will be the first point of contact for patients while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our practice. You will work across our three practice sites, providing an excellent patient experience and supporting both clinical and administrative teams.

Main duties of the job

Welcoming patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.Managing appointments, telephone calls and patient enquiries.Processing administrative tasks including workflow management, scanning, patient correspondence and results.Contacting patients regarding test results and follow-up appointments.Handling clinical samples and associated paperwork.Working collaboratively with GPs, nurses, administrative colleagues and external healthcare organisations.Maintaining patient confidentiality and delivering excellent customer service at all times.About youWe are looking for someone who:

Has experience in a customer service, reception or administrative role.Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Is confident using IT systems (Microsoft Office experience desirable).Has experience using SystmOne (desirable but not essential).Can work efficiently under pressure and prioritise a busy workload.Is flexible, reliable and enjoys working as part of a team.Holds a full driving licence and has access to their own transport, as travel between our three sites is essential.This post is subject to2 satisfactory references and DBS check.

Person Specification

Experience Essential

Experienced in customer service, reception or administration. Confident using IT systems (Microsoft Office experience). An excellent communicator with strong attention to detail. A team player who is flexible and happy to support colleagues when needed. Able to travel between our three practice sites (own transport is essential).

Desirable

Experienced with SystmOne Experience of working in primary care Experience of working in a GP practice
