About this role
The Security Metrics & Reporting Intern will support the Experian Global Security Office Metrics & Reporting team by developing, maintaining, and enhancing reporting solutions using Power BI and SQL Server. This role is ideal for a student looking for hands-on experience in data analysis, security metrics, and business intelligence tools within a organizational environment.
Tasks:
You will help develop interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to visualize security metrics and trends for multiple partners.Collect, clean, and analyze security-related data from multiple sources, using SQL Server, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.You will help automate recurring security reports and help improve reporting processes and workflows.Collaborate with security analysts and IT staff to identify new metrics, track (KPIs), and provide relevant insights.You will document reporting procedures and maintain comprehensive records to support audit and compliance requirements. 2-3 years completed study in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.Cybersecurity course study is beneficial.Knowledge of PowerBI to create visualizations and SQL server to create database queries.Knowledge in cybersecurity is beneficial.English proficiency of at least B2.Be available 36 hours of the week for the internship.You must be enrolled in the university for the next 9 months of the internship.Be available to start in May 2026.You will receive a subsidy of $1,000 a month for the 9-month internship. This is a home-based internship role in Costa Rica. No relocation available.
