This role is based at Atlantic Fields Club, a Discovery Land Company property located just outside Hobe Sound, Florida.
The Expo plays a vital role in creating exceptional Member and Guest dining experiences by serving as the critical connection between the culinary and service teams. This position ensures every dish is prepared, presented, and delivered with accuracy, quality, and attention to detail while maintaining efficient communication and seamless coordination throughout service. The Expo demonstrates extensive knowledge of the menu, ingredients, accompaniments, and presentation standards to ensure every meal reflects the Atlantic Fields commitment to excellence. Deliver genuine hospitality while creating meaningful connections and memorable experiences for Members, Guests, and fellow Team Members. · Deliver exceptional service through genuine hospitality and clear, professional communication with Members, Guests, and fellow Team Members at all times. · Ensure all orders are accurately prioritized and coordinated within the kitchen in accordance with the Discovery Land Company Sequence of Service, promoting timely execution and an exceptional dining experience. · Monitor the status of all orders and clearly communicate special requests, dietary restrictions, allergies, and modifications to the culinary team to ensure accuracy and an exceptional Member and Guest experience. · Inspect all dishes to ensure they meet Atlantic Fields standards for quality, accuracy, presentation, and preparation prior to service. · Verify the accuracy of every order against the corresponding ticket to ensure all items, modifications, and special requests are complete and correct prior to service. · Serve as the primary communication link between the Front of House (FOH) and Heart of House (HOH), fostering clear, timely communication and seamless coordination to ensure exceptional service and operational excellence. · Provide timely updates to Team Members regarding order status, preparation times, and any service delays to ensure clear communication and a seamless Member and Guest experience. · Monitor the availability of menu items and ingredients, proactively communicating shortages or product availability updates to the culinary and service teams to ensure seamless operations and effective Member communication. · Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient food service area while ensuring full compliance with all applicable health, sanitation, and safety regulations, as well as Club standards. · Oversee the cleanliness and sanitation of work areas to ensure the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, and operational excellence are consistently maintained. · Ensure compliance with all applicable government regulations and Club standards related to safety, health, sanitation, and security throughout the department. · Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the needs of the Club and ensure operational excellence.
Skills & Qualifications · High school diploma or equivalent required. · At least one (1) year of serving experience in a full-service hospitality environment, preferably at a luxury private club, high-end restaurant, resort, or hotel. · Knowledge of HACCP principles and local food safety standards, with the ability to obtain and maintain all required state food safety certifications. · Demonstrate a strong knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages, with the ability to confidently recommend pairings and enhance the Member and Guest dining experience. · Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, an unwavering commitment to quality, and a passion for creating extraordinary Member and Guest experiences.
Additional Requirements · Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members. · Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as business demands require. · Demonstrate a collaborative, team-first mindset by working effectively with fellow Team Members to create exceptional Member and Guest experiences. · Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times. · Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred. · Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions; standing, walking, bending, reaching, and moving for extended periods; and frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items weighing up to 50 pounds.
